Sports!!!

Collegiate athletics is not just popular for current students, it is also very popular to non students. Most people generally have their favorite school they root for in all sports. You don't just always have to be in the stands though, you can get involved in school sports yourself. This can include playing a varsity NCAA credited program, or even just a club team.
Sports are a great way to meet new people and create friendships. It also allows you to get active and participate in activities you've enjoyed doing, or even trying out new ones. Club teams are a great thing to get involved in. They are made for pure enjoyment and bring people together who enjoy doing the same thing. It is your way to play and have fun, since we can't all be big time scholarship athletes. Club teams let every one participate and are run by the members themselves. They raise money for their own uniforms, make team rules, decide what other colleges they will challenge, book all travel arrangements, and arrange their own practices. They are run by player-coaches and have no authoritative supervision.
There are tons of club sports on campuses across the nation. You can find club versions of more popular sports such as football, basketball, soccer, lacrosse, and many more. They have clubs for everyones preference. If you don't like contact, try ultimate frisbee, disc golf, bowling, cycling, and more. You'd be surprised at what sports and activities you can find available.
Most high school athletes will never get a chance to play at the NCAA level. A recent study by the NCAA showed that only 3.2% of high school basketball players will get the chance to play college hoops, while only 1.2% of those college basketball players will play professionally. With club sports, you have a 100% chance of playing and getting involved. One of the many reasons why they are great to join. Also, you won't have the stress and pressure to perform and be the very best, unlike NCAA varsity sports, where everything is serious.
Club sports allow you to play sports you enjoy, meet new people, and have a good time while keeping focus on your studies.

  1. This was another interesting post. I would recommend that you create working title that let the words be your emphasis, not punctuation. Remember the scholarly approach is best here. One additional idea I have is that you should provide suggestions to students at our college; what campus sports activities do we have available? What's actually possible for locals? Finally--when you mention a data source like the NCAA, add a hyperlink or reference to link to the original data.
